RELAUNCH AND REBRAND SURFACE MAGAZINE - 2013
"With Keren, what you see is what you get. She helps companies and individuals take their ideas and put them in a plan, and then she executes a flawless plan through action. She is compassionate and cares for others that are seeking a greater good. She operates from a strong practice of business integrity. Her amazing palette of interests, passions, connections and talents (FIVE languages!) help to attract top talent, while also driving awareness inside and to sophisticated organizations like ours. I'm a big fan, and look forward to continuing to work with her.” Marc Lotenberg, CEO, Surface Media LLC
In January 2013, Surface magazine was in bad shape. In tandem with a vigorous injection of investment and together with the new CEO, we realized that a full rebrand would require an almost full team change. Over the course of a year, we built a new team and we created a serious, profitable brand. It was the year in which Surface was resurrected as the Design magazine for Designers.
The magazine not only stopped losing money, but within a year saw an increase of overall sales by 113%, bringing Surface back to profitability, and ensuring the business is prepared for the future. All new employees welcomed the results with great personal satisfaction because they were involved in the process from the start. The magazine is now ready for the building a bold next phase.
“Keren is a very rare person: she has big vision and a big mind. I personally don't know where she finds the time to do so much and to do it all so well. Basically, she moves things forward, and she gets things done. Her track record as both a thinker and a doer speaks for itself. She's also a genuine, ethical, humble and honest leader (though if she ends up loving an idea, she will shamelessly steal credit for it; that's how you know it's really good).
